School Compass
FIRST COMPASS
A high-quality steel compass with an adjustable leg, rounded lead insert and solid needle tip. The compass comes in a molded case which contains a lead holder. Additional leads are also available separately. Great choice for first-time geometry students in 5th grades and above.
WHAT DO YOU GET
This compass is made of steel and has a maximum circular arc diameter of approx. 14.17 inches (approx. 360 mm). This is your typical school compass that has one leg with a replaceable lead and one leg with a point, but its metal legs make it more durable. This type of compass changes the diameter of the circle you are drawing simply by adjusting the distance between the two compass legs. There are no dials or wheels to turn!
ACCESSORIES
A box of replacement leads is available, too, and contains 15 graphite tips 2B with a diameter of 0.07 inch (2 mm) and a length of 0.98 inch(25 mm). The plastic storage box is provided with a piece of sandpaper 0.39 x 0.86 inch (10×22 mm).
These replacement compass lead tips are suitable for both our compasses (20592140 School Compass and 20592130 Bow Compass).
