This Mollenhauer Pentatonic Soprano Recorder is an easy introduction when learning to play. With its wide bore and well-placed finger holes, the instrument has an amazingly full and rich sound, absolutely ideal for the classroom.
In the design of the head joint, special attention was paid to the ease of tone production and articulation. The holes have a good grip and children can easily find them.
The shape of the recorder instrument is designed according to both ergonomic and orthodontic principles and draws on immense experience of the manufacturer, Mollenhauer, of reliable and beautiful school instruments.
WHAT IS A WALDORF EDITION?
This is one of the recorders of choice if your child is enrolled in a Waldorf school. The wide internal diameter of the ‘Waldorf Edition’ recorders (Van-Eyck Renaissance style) made by Mollenhauer, create a full, ensemble sound that mixes well.
The Soprano Recorder is often introduced to students in a Waldorf school in grade 5 or 6 and is continued to be played in grades 7 and 8, along with or beside the Alto recorder, Tenor recorder and Bass recorder.
