NOTE
As an educator, these also inadvertently became soothing for my students with anxiety disorders, ADD, ADHD, other neurodivergent stressors and just anyone having a stressful day.
Not only were these nice “erasers” for them while we were drawing with pastels, they served as a sort of kneadable “worry stone” or “fidget” for some children and helped them cope with whatever they were dealing with in that moment thanks to the soft, kneading, soothing nature of this material.
I not only loved that they made them feel better in addition to being a great tool for their illustrations, but that they were not distracting to other children! No noises. No spinning parts. A great little thing every child (and teacher!) should have in their “toolbox” pencil bag.
