Greenfield Ink Converter (for Using Ink From an Ink Jar or Bottle)
INK CONVERTER FOR GREENFIELD PENS
The Greenfield Converter can be used with the Greenfield Fountain Pen to fill ink for the pen from an ink jar instead of using the disposable plastic refills.
Plus, it’s kind of fun using ink from a bottle every now and then. This listing is for one ink converter.

HOW TO USE A GREENFIELD PEN INK CONVERTER
- This is a piston – plunger type ink converter.
- Remove the disposable ink cartridge from your pen and replace with the converter, snapping it into place.
- Lower the pen’s nib into the ink jar so that the nib is completely submerged.
- Turn the piston counterclockwise to lower the plunger all the way down and push air out of the converter into the ink.
- Then turn the piston clockwise to raise the plunger again and draw in ink.
- If ink is not coming up into the converter, the vacuum has not formed. Try the following:
- Make sure the converter is snapped securely into your pen
- Try submerging your pen into the ink past the nib to the grip (make sure you have a paper towel near by!)
- Retwist the piston completely down and up additional times to ensure all the air has been removed from the converter
HELPFUL TO KNOW: It’s helpful to press a paper towel against the nib after filling your converter to remove any overfilled ink from the nib before touching it to writing paper.
