The binding for this high-quality book is made of heavy, 290 gsm card. The writing paper is 90 gsm and when using normal ink, it can be written on both sides.
The writing paper is lined 6-3-6 paper and is typically used in upper grades. It alternates lines measuring 6mm wide with lines measuring 3mm wide. It’s also known as Narrow Ruled paper. For reference, college ruled paper is also known as medium Ruled paper and measures about 7.1 mm wide. Wide Ruled paper measures about 8.7 mm wide.
There are 40 pages total in portrait format (8.27×11.69 inch) (A4). The pages alternate as one lined page to one blank page and there is no Onionskin.

IDEAS FOR HOW TO USE 6-3-6 PAPER
This narrow ruled paper can be used in many ways. It’s often used as a first draft paper for essays, stories or reports as the 3mm lines can be skipped, which allow space for editing and revision symbols and notes. This paper even makes grading a final version copy of a story, essay or report easier for the teacher to provide feedback. Foreign Language classes may use the 3mm spaces for special symbols or characters that one might find over the letters of some other languages. Mathematical exercises written horizontally can benefit from this style of paper, as well.
Some will use the 6-3-6 spaces together as a handwriting paper for cursive writing so that the 6mm wide line is used for the base writing and the 3mm spaces above and below are used for the letters top and bottom flourishes. (If used for cursive in fourth grades, it’s a bit more cramped than they are used to. But if used for cursive practice for older kids, they sometimes find it just fine.)
