AURIS PENTATONIC GLOCKENSPIEL
Auris Glockenspiels are finely tuned and have clear, pure overtones. Their clear, spherical tones create a lovely sound experience. The tone bars consist of a brass alloy coated with beeswax to enhance and preserve their soft, natural shine. The resonating body is made of varnished maple, and is polished with beeswax.
CURVED BODY MEANS BRIGHTER TONES
This Glockenspiel is different than our straight bodied Glockenspiel for children in that its curved body allows a brighter tone and is better suited for parents and teachers playing for children. It spots more compactly on table tops than the straight body. Our straight bodied glockenspiel is also harmonious, but the straight body allows for more mellow tones and is easier for children to hang onto and situate. The straight body also sits more steady than the curved if being held in your lap. We recommend the straight body for young children and the curved body for older children and adults, especially if it will be in table tops rather than laps.
