Stockmar brings 80 years of experience in creating high-quality German art products to this line of colored pencils for artists young and old. These natural, unlacquered pencils feature a large hexagonal shape. This pencil set comes in a range of Stockmar’s luminous colors in sets of 12 + 1, 18 + 1 or 24 + 1 (the +1 is a graphite B pencil).
WHY STOCKMAR?
Stockmar colored pencils are distinguished by their exceptionally vibrant colors, high proportion of pigment, unique color coordination system and a soft yet powerful application of color. The extra thick lead cores are break resistant, water resistant, last longer than standard colored pencils and require less frequent sharpening. And because many pictures begin with a sketch, the set also includes a graphite B pencil.
CERTIFICATION
The pencil wood is from sustainably managed forests, and the pencils come with FSC certification and are AP-certified non-toxic.
WHY HEXAGONAL?
The thicker, hexagonal barrel keeps these vibrant, high-quality color pencils from rolling off a desktop and can reduce hand fatigue for young, old and in between.
If you’re looking for a thick barrel pencil that ccan help younger children maintain and practice the correct pincer grip, we have these same pencils but with a triangular barrel instead that work great training the pincer, or tripod grip, muscles.
